I thought this was interresting since I have a brother who's an accounting major at Temple. It doesn't suprise me that they're going mobile, especially when they have so many clients during tax season.
ReplyDeleteThe grunt work will be dealt with by technology. This frees up people (like myself) in Accounting by allowing them to pursue higher minded tasks. Combined with telecommuting and video-conferencing, commute time is cut, boosting efficiency. As they no longer have to go to the client, they can stay and be on hand for important projects. Computer software will allow companies to trim jobs of less experienced personnel. This will boost profits and the company. Their only problem is that everyone else will be doing it too.
