Modern School Buses

Modern school buses are built with
safety in mind. From the bright
yellow color to the flashing red lights,
there are may features that are built
into the modern school bus to protect
our children from a variety of hazards
that they could face each time they
ride to school.

  1. i remember riding the school bus and never feeling safe. Whenever we hit a bumb we would all fly in the air and if the bus driver was speeding and hit a bumb i actually hit the ceiling before.

  2. i have always wondered why there were no seatbelts on busses.. i mean, school bus accidents are not uncommon.. why not put seatbelts in them.. especially since the law in many states is that you are required to wear a seatbelt

  3. I don't think that school buses fatalities are high enough to mandate seat belts on school buses. I remember doing an essay and total cost would be around half a billion dollars to update all the school buses with the proper seat belts, which just is a bit much for less than one percent of fatalities reported from school bus accidents. Not that I am about disagree with you...

  4. I also always wondered why there were never seatbelts on school buses. Does anyone know the answer to that. I mean all these other safety features "just in case" there were to be an accident...but no seatbelts.
